Location

Kilmarnock is a substantial town in East Ayrshire, second biggest in Ayrshire, behind Ayr itself, with 46,500 resident persons. It is located 22 miles south west of Glasgow and 17 miles north of Ayr, both via the M77. The site is centrally located in Kilmarnock, in the streets running parallel to the main thoroughfare, the A758 John Finnie St and Portland Road to the south.

The locality is of mixed use, mainly commercial offices and light industrial with flatted residential elements. The site is a short walk from Kilmarnock’s rail and bus stations and the main shopping centre, the Burns Shopping Mall.

Description

The subjects of sale comprise a mix of land and buildings. The majority of the original buildings have been demolished following fire damage leaving a cleared site and a tenanted office. The subjects have neighbouring buildings bounding the site to the North and South, Grange Street to the east and a neighbouring yard to the west.
