Attractive 3 Bed Flat in Sought After Village

The attractive settlement of Crossford (population 670) is a village in South Lanarkshire which lies on the A72 road, alongside the River Clyde. The village is a very popular residential location within an area noted for historical sites and scenic beauty. The county town of Lanark (population 8,200) lies a little over four miles to the south-east whilst Glasgow is about twenty miles to the north west.

Crossford offers good facilities relative to its size including some shops and a primary school. The nearby town of Lanark has a wide range of facilities. The village is popular with commuters with access to the M74 just over six miles away and Carluke Station 3.5 miles.

From Lanark, on the A72 (Lanark Road), look for the prominent Tillietudlem Inn on the left. Blair Road is immediately after this with a sharp and steep turning on the left. After 20 metres turn left into a small carpark. The property is in the building on the left above the Tillietudlem Inn. Walk down a few steps and a communal door serving this and other flats is ahead. Go through the door and Flat 3 is found on this level, around to the right.

The property comprises a three-bedroomed flat on the first floor of a three-storey building with a pitched slated roof. Most of the building is in residential use though the ground floor currently comprises the former Tillietudlem Inn. The flat is relatively new and offers spacious accommodation with attractive open views from most rooms. The bedrooms are of a double size with bedrooms 2 and 3 particularly spacious. Windows are upvc double glazed, and the majority of the flooring is timber laminate. Central heating is understood to be from a LPG fired boiler, with wall mounted radiators in every room.

South Lanarkshire Council granted planning consent on the 3rd May 2016 for the former Inn/Hotel below the property, to be converted into three flats. Once completed this will improve the quality of the overall building. Further details regarding this planning consent can be gained on South Lanarkshire Councils Planning portal using their reference CL/16/0075.
