LOCATION

Tongue is an attractive village situated on the north coast overlooking the beautiful Kyle of Tongue. The now famous and iconic North Coast 500 route passes through the village. DIRECTIONS

From the village centre of Tongue head north-east on the A838. Go past the junction where the A838 turns south to Lairg and Altnahara, then turn into the private entrance to Blaran Farm on the right and cross a cattle grid. Go up the hill past the farm steading. Walk through the gate past the house onto the hill and take the right branch which leads to an operational SW site. The WTW site is on your left before the operational site. The area is not fenced and there are no identifiable structures on it. The area is overgrown with gorse. The DIR is located approx 250m further on over a fence and across moorland, at the north end of Loch Craisg where the outflow burn leaves the loch.

DESCRIPTION

The larger area is a square shaped parcel of ground at the north end of Loch Craisg straddling the outflow burn. A dam has been removed and the loch level returned to a natural level. There is nothing left to mark the site and the ground is unfenced, boggy and covered with rough growth. The property has a SEPA CAR Licence (No CAR/S/1027620) which will be transferred as part of the sale. Copies of the relevant licence form part of the Legal Pack. The second and smaller site is a square shaped area of unmarked ground in an area of rough scrub.
