LOCATION

Tongue is an attractive village situated on the north coast overlooking the beautiful Kyle of Tongue. The iconic North Coast 500 route passes through the village. The site is located to the north of the village on the A838 in an area of woodland, a short walk from the main road. Grid Ref: 259494,958319.

DIRECTIONS

From the village centre of Tongue head north east on the A838. Go past the junction where the A838 turns south to Lairg and Altnahara and the site is on your left opposite the entrance to Blaran Farm approx 1 mile north of the village. A green cabinet and a couple of water markers are visible in the verge, on the west side of the road, at this point which is immediately after a road narrows sign. There is a steep bank down from the road and a wooden stile for access over the fence. The site is approx 30m from the road.

DESCRIPTION

The site comprises a square unfenced area within the woodland and houses a concrete water tank set into the ground with steel inspection covers.
