From Inverurie take the B993 to Keithhall and Whiterashes. After 2 miles, at Keithhall, take the road signposted to Kinmuck and Fintray for approximately 0.4 miles. The site lies on the right hand side, above the road at a high point in the field with its security fencing and surrounding trees prominently visible. From the road, pedestrian access can be taken over a stile and then along a field edge for 110 metres to the site. A rectangular site at the edge of an agricultural field with approximate dimensions of 20m x 12m. The site is surrounded by a 3m high heavy duty metal security fence, with barbed wires along the top and a 1.2m wide pedestrian gateway in its east side. Within the site is a rectangular former water tank measuring approximately 11m x 5m; the tank extends 2m above ground level and appears to be built with a bolted plastic wall and roof panels that are supported by a metal frame. Sycamore trees have been planted within the site around three sides of its boundary.
